1)  What is BG and what is the use of BG?

Ans: To represent an enterprise as a Government Reporting Legal Entity with valid operating units performing transactions against set of books defined for specific location or legislation

2) What all you define at BG level?

Ans: Location, setup business group, Operating unit, GRE/ Legal Entity, HR Organization, Company Cost Center , Inventory Organization, Asset Organization

3) What is Multiorganisation  concept?

Ans: Multiorg concept mean in one business group manay operating units.

4) What are the KFF in HRMS

Ans: Job, Position,Grade,Competency, Cost Allocation, People Group KFF’s

5) What are banking KFF

Ans: Bank details flexfield is seeded KFF it gets attached as per legislation which you choose in your business group

6) Diff between GRE and Legal entity?

Ans: Government reporting entity (GRE) specifies set of books defined in Financials, i.e. Set of books definition includes currency, calendar & chart of accounts defined in Financials

7) Diff between BG and legal Entity

Ans: BG classifies and registers work structures specific to HRMS along with currency and country specific legislation used. Legal entity reporting classifies set of books defined in Financials (Accounts Payable module treats HRMS payroll run for employees as expense to company and revenue to employee)

8) Diff between SIT and EIT in terms of security

Ans: SIT is date trackable KFF, Can be used as a work around whenever GAP situation arises while implementing HRMS, EIT is not date trackable DFF, Can be used to record extra information in location, Orgnazation, Job, Position & Grade window of work structures.

9) Which approach did you use in your setup is it job based of position based approach

Ans: Job based approach is used in administrative depts., position based approach is used in specific roles defined in BG

10) Termination process in HRMS

Ans: People->Enter & Maintain->Assignment->Others (button) choose End Employment then edit actual termination date, final process date and last standard process date and click on terminate button

11) Diff between job and position

Ans: Job is generic to role like Senior Manager, Manager, Asst. Manager etc……. position is specific to role like shoemaker, cashier, treasurer etc…..

12) What is recruitment process

Ans:      Raising Requisition & Vacancy
             Create Recruitment Activity
             Mass Update applicant status as accepted / rejected
             Hire applicant into all assignments,
             Assign work structures to employee record as agreed in offer letter,
            Create salary proposal in salary administration window

13) What is aim methodology

Ans: Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) It acts as an accelerator for development teams and client key users of application by recording business flows and solution design in standard word templates like BR 100, MD 50, MD 70

14) Document numbers used in each phase of AIM methodology

Ans: AIM docs follow incremental approach in numbering to identify standard formats specific to project modules of oracle application

15) To create a position what are the methodology  thing

Ans: To create position we need to freeze position KFF with segments like position name and Position specific to which organization in BG along with value sets. Then register freeze position structures in your custom responsibility attached to BG with valid grades and jobs

16) Diff between pooled and shared

Ans: Pooled means plenty of resources are available for example in a 100 seater call center u will find call center agents working in a pool delivering same task of resolving customer issues. Shared means in a bank u will find every one bank person will be handling cash in cash counter, its like job rotation keeps happening in a month  at the end of the day if any person avails long leave or absconding then there is always a successer available within bank who can manage cash counter as well as other specific role in bank

17) Diff between FTE and Head count

Ans: FTE means call center agent works in 24/7/365 days. Head count means in a particular month after new joinee additions and resigned employees +/- will arrive at a head count total is called head count. Its like saying present teacher while teacher records attendance in a school class

18) Diff type of positions

Ans: Shoemaker, Cahier, Treasurer, Manager post paid, Manager pre paid, Manager biscuits, Manager National Roaming, Manager Switch, Manager Planning, Manager Design, Architect, Accountant etc…………….

19) What is pay roll process

Ans: Pick up all active assignment  employee records who are linked to monthly payroll frequency and perform fast formula calculations for each employees total compensation recurring or non recurring elements and make pre payments to individual employee payment methods like cash or cheque or bank transfer.

20) How do you define bonus for a single month

Ans: Create Bonus earnings classification with non recurring type

21) What are grades and grades scale define how will it effect the payroll process

Ans: Grades are linked to jobs & positions. Grade scale specifies minimum / maximum eligibity parameters for payroll processing or salary administration



22) What is requirement gathering

Ans: If we go to Hotel waiter / server comes to you and gives a reciepe menu, similary in project implementation consultant has to gather business requirements before automating the client ERP system

23) How comfortable you are in payroll rate yourself

Ans: In a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is Exxxxxxxxcellent and 5 is Poor. I rate my self between 1 and 2


24) How will you create organization and what all are necessary to create an organization

Ans: at unit or division which has competent people working in desired roles at specific locations we represent this type of business situation in apps by Organization naming convention with org classification as HR Organization and Inventory Organization with location etc.

25) How to activate EIT’s

Ans: Through SQL script which is available in metalink.oracle.com

26) How you have done setup on site or off site (VPN)

Ans: Both onsite as well as offshore using VPN access..


27) How to write fast formula.

Ans: By following standard keywords like default, input return & messages etc we can write formula using database items to run payroll in HRMS apps.
